If you choose to sponsor a child through African Australian Network, we seek to find the perfect child for you. You have the ability to select the gender and age group of the child. You also have the ability to choose the country in which the child lives due to the vast network partnerships our organization has worked hard to create and maintain.
We do not, however, post photos of specific children able to be sponsored. We at African Australian Network believe all children deserve an equal chance at sponsorship thus are selected on the basis of need rather than other factors.
African Australian Network seeks to provide equal access to educational opportunities and works directly with local African partnerships and communities to ensure children are provided with basic education; the right of every child.
African Australian Network is one of the largest Australian-based networks and provides a great donor experience as our organization realizes the importance of accountability for any funds you may donate.
African Australian Network has no religious or cultural affiliation - children are provided with assistance based on need with no bias concerning race or religion. We believe this to be essential to providing proper care. Our organization seeks to improve the lives of those trapped in poverty by building capacity and providing opportunities but allowing those individuals to maintain their identities with dignity and pride.
By becoming a child sponsor, the cost is small in comparison to the significant impact these funds will have.
African Australian Network is run entirely by volunteers thus donations finance the children's opportunities directly and are not diverted into heavy administration or marketing costs.
As a registered charity organization, all donations are tax deductible.

Once your child has been selected, African Australian Network seeks to provide a lasting relationship between you and your sponsored child. As our program offers direct sponsoring to specific children, sponsors enjoy direct contact.
AU$400.00 will provide 6 months of primary school education.
AU$600.00 will provide 6 months of secondary school education.
AU$800.00 will provide 6 months of college territories education.
AU$1300.00 will provide 6 months sponsorship for university education.

If you decide to sponsor a child, countries have children available for sponsorship. All you have to do is fill the form and select the country that you would like to sponsor a child from, and other preferences you may have in the "comment" box.
We are sorry that we have decided not to display children available for sponsorship publicly on our website (African Australian Network). There are no technical challenges in doing this but our feeling is that it would not be fair to the sponsored children. Even children with nothing and no one is entitled to be treated with respect but obviously, such children may care more about having something to eat and somewhere safe to sleep than dignity and we understand other charities who decide that the end justifies the means.
We do however try to help get the right sponsored child for each sponsor. We are happy for sponsors to choose a country where their child lives. We do not generally allow sponsors to choose a disabled child because such children are better treated in a fully integrated manner, but do please make any reasonable request and we will do our best to fulfill it.
